IBM Knowledge Accelerators offer pre-created, insurance based glossaries to improve data classification, regulatory compliance, self-service analytics, and other governance operations.
You can add Knowledge Accelerators to your governance framework if you have the IBM Knowledge Catalog Enterprise plan. For more information on the Enterprise plan, see IBM Knowledge Catalog offering plans.
About the Knowledge Accelerator for Insurance
The Knowledge Accelerator for Insurance consists of an extensive set of business terms organized using a set of category hierarchies and associated reference data sets and values that can be imported depending on what business areas are required to be addressed.

- Approximately 18,950 business terms
- Approximately 895 categories
- Approximately 615 reference data sets
- 270 data classes (including a re-categorization of 165 IBM Knowledge Catalog data classes)

How to import the Knowledge Accelerators
Only a user with full Administration authority can import Knowledge Accelerator content into IBM Knowledge Catalog. The Knowledge Accelerators are imported into your IBM Knowledge Catalog environment using REST API endpoints. For instructions see:
