Shared projects across experiences

Shared projects across experiences

You can work with projects across all the IBM watsonx experiences that you have access to. In each experience, you see only those assets and tools that are valid in that experience.

You can share a project where collaborators work in different experiences. For example, a data engineer in the Data Fabric experience creates a high-quality data asset that is governed by Data quality rules. An AI engineer in the watsonx experience trains a machine learning model with that data asset.

Project collaborators and roles across experiences

You have the same collaborator role in the project across all experiences that you can access.

The list of collaborators in the project varies across experiences if not all collaborators have access to the same experiences.

Project tools in each experience

Some tools are available in projects in more than one experience. Other tools are unique to one experience.

The following table lists which tools that you can find in projects in each experience.

Project assets across experiences

The following types of data assets are available in all experiences:

  • Data asset from a file
  • Connection
  • Connected data assets
  • Folder asset

Other assets that you can see in a project are dependent on the tools that are available in the current experience.

See Assets.

Project import and export

When you export a project, the exported project file reflects the assets that you see in the current experience. Any assets that are not visible in the current experience are not included in the exported project.

You can import a project that you exported from the same experience. You can't import a project that you exported from a different experience.
